AZADI-70 YAAD KARO KURBANI

                       

On the eve of 70th year of Independence. “ Azadi 70 yaad karo Kurbani and to commemorate this event ,a fortnight long celebration was carried out in JNV Bijapur from 9th Aug o 23th Aug to pay honour and homage to the freedom fighters and to kindle the spirit of patriotism . It was a mega show where the children soaked in patriotic fervor and gaiety.
                On 9th Aug  the programme was inaugurated with an introductory note by  sri.B.R.Ganesh  TGT Kan focusing on the history of Indian Independence. In slogan writing competition conducted on 10th august students inscribed the feelings of patriotism on canvas as a part of tribute to the freedom fighters. The slogans like Amar Jawan, We salute , Meri pehchan , Mera India, were eye-catching and got high admiration.
                On 11th august students drew portrait of Indian freedom fighters. The portraits of Bhagat Singh, Mahatma Gandhi, Subhas Chandra Bhose, Laxmi Bai evoked vibrant emotions and patriotic feelings. The mesmerizing stroke of the brush applied with moderate controlled style, rendering in highly saturated colour gave life to the portraits.  On 12th august, an elaborate speech on  the  Freedom struggle was delivered by Sri.A.K.Signh PGT Geography highlighting the areas on 1st war of Independence  non –cooperation ,Dandi March, Quit India Movement.
                On 13th Aug 428 students and 32 staff members participated in the Freedom Run, attired in white & white, to feel the freedom with their fellow runners which enlightened their spirit. The whole school was brimming with pride and satisfaction when we honored  Shri.Veerupaksh V yadramani from Bagawadi  who  served as nursing Technician in the army, an example for Jai Jawan Jai Kissan. On 14th , Rangoli competition was conducted where children drew different designs using their creative & artistic skills.
                On 15th the celebration began with the unfurling of the flag by the chief guest shri .S.R.Angadi. The march past of the 10 contingents led by the band set was an unique sight .The spectacular dance on patriotic song was the highlight of the programme.
                On 16th the pictorial greeting cards with images countryside, landscapes with articulated words were prepared to send it to defense ministry. On 17th children relished and cherished the incidents of the Freedom struggle and quoted the thought provoking slogans in their essays.
                On18th students spoke on the biography and the contribution of the gallant freedom fighters . On 19th, the massive plantation drive was carried on with the message “ Each one plant & nurture one. Shri .V.Y.Desai PGT Physics in his speech stressed the importance of growing plants and appealed everyone to join their hands in making this earth a beautiful place to live in.
                On 20th Group patriotic song competition was organized. 8 groups participated with zeal and Zest , singing the songs of vande Mataram , Yeh vatan Ke logo, Yeh vatan, Yeh vatan. They spread the aroma of patriotism and the juvenile hearts of Navodayans were swaying in the melody and beauty of patriotic songs.
On the 22nd a skit was presented by class 9th on the life of Bhagat Singh, Ram Prasad, Bismillah, Raj Guru
& Sukhdev to inspire the youth for the service of the Nation.    
   The spectacular  valedictory Function on the 23rd marked the culmination of the Fortnight programme. The Fancy Dress competition on Freedom Fighter with their apt costumes, body language & expression captivated the audience. In her presidential remark, principal exhorted the student to play a significant role in upholding the values cherished by great Freedom Fighters. At sharp 11 am with waving flags, all the students and staff recited the National Anthem, saluting tribute to our tri color.
                On the whole the Fortnight long program under which a series of activities were conducted to dedicated our devotion to the Freedom Fighters left a spark and buoyancy on every face. The outcome of the programme was over whelming which could shape our children a virtuous citizen for a worthy nation and make India stand at the top in the horizon of the world.
